Shimla, 4 May:
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhawan to discuss various issued pertaining to developmental activities being executed in different sectors particularly in horticulture and agricultural fields in the state.
The Chief Minister apprised the Governor about the progress in executing zero budget natural farming and assured that all efforts would be made in implementing this system of agriculture in the state to benefit the farming community.
The Governor urged to organize farmer’s camp and exhibitions on natural farming through agriculture department so that farmers could understand the benefits of natural farming. He said that the line departments should also be involved in such events and activities. He expressed hope that with joint efforts, Himachal Pradesh would emerge as the pioneering state in natural farming in the country and other states also would follow this model of natural farming.
