DELEGATION VISITS PUNJAB VIDHAN SABHA

Chandigarh, February 12:

50 Member delegation from around 30 countries (Afghanistan, Jamaica, Kenya, Mauritius and other Asian and African countries), which is on three-day attachment with Punjab Government visited Punjab Legislative Assembly for an interactive session on Legislature Drafting.

Divulging the details, a spokesperson said that in the meeting, a lot of Legislature issues were discussed at length. The queries of the visiting participator were very answered by all the resource persons from Punjab. This three-day programme is being coordinated by Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training, Lok Sabha.

He said that in the absence of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, the meeting was chaired by the Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Other dignitaries attended the meeting were Som Parkash, MLA and Narinder Chaudhary, Legal Remembrance, Punjab.

The participants thereafter attended a brief session at MGSIPA followed by a formal meeting at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which was headed by Chief Justice Mr. S.J. Vazifdar. On this occasion, Justice Surya Kant, Justice Mahesh Grover, Justice T.P.S. Mann, Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal and Justice Rajesh Bindal were also present.

The delegation is expected to visit Anandpur Sahib as a part of their study tour.
