SHIMLA 04 April:
Governor Acharya Devvrat hosted State Dinner to the legislatures of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha during Budget Session at Raj Bhawan here last evening. Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister along with his wife Dr. Sadhna Thakur were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Governor welcomed all the members of HP Legislative Assembly for attending the programme in Raj Bhavan. He urged them to work for the development of the State and urged all the members to work esp. for water conservation in their respective constituencies as scarcity of potable water would be the major cause of concern in coming days. He said that impact of global warming was increasing day- by- day and climate change has affected the agro economy of the State as well.
Shri Jagat Ram Verma presented devotional and patriotic songs on this occasion. Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur honoured him.
Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Speaker, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Ministers, former Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh, CLP leader, MLAs of H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Chief Secretary Shri Vineet Chawdhary and other senior officers of the State Government attended the dinner.
