GOVERNOR ADVOCATES FOR HEALTHY LIFE STYLE

Shimla, 5 May:

A three-day medical camp was organized at Raj Bhavan campus for the general public in association with the team of doctors from Help Age India and Shri Ram Hospital.

On the closing day, Governor Acharya Devvrat in his address called upon people to change their lifestyle and eating habits for healthy living and long life. He appreciated the contribution of doctors of Help Age India and Shri Ram Hospital in rural areas of the state by providing free medicines and treatment. He urged them to increase awareness about health among people.

He expressed concern over the fact that at present various diseases were rapidly spreading due unhealthy food and lifestyle. “We should practice yoga, morning walk, and physical exercise regularly. Persons who followed these practices in life were more fit and healthy in comparison to others. A healthy body is a source of happiness in life”.

Secretary to Governor Dr. Arun Sharma, Advisor to Governor Dr. Shashikant Sharma, social worker Sampurn Singh and Ram Kumar Verma, Dr. Sukhram Chauhan, Dr. Bhupendra Gupta, Dr. Navita Verma and other prominent persons were also present on this occasion.
