SHIMLA 02 May:
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said that Divisional Commissioner, Shimla will conduct inquiry into the unfortunate incident of killing of Assistant Town Planner, Kasauli, Shail Bala on Tuesday.
The Divisional Commissioner has been asked to enquire into all relevant aspects of the incident including the circumstances that led to the incident and fixing of responsibility of the person responsible for this lapse. The enquiry report will be submitted to the government within 15 days.
The Chief Minister said an ex-gratia payment of rupees five lakh will be given to the kin of the deceased and the state government will also bear the expenses of treatment of all injured person. He said that the government will submit status report on the incident tomorrow in the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
He expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family members and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. He said such incidents would not be tolerated and culprit would be nabbed soon and action would be taken as per the law. He said law and order would be maintained in the State at all cost and the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court would be followed in letter and spirit.
