STATE LEVEL JOB FAIR

– Last year registered students need not to re-register
– Students unable to register due to any reason can
register on the spot at venue of state-level job fairs

Chandigarh, February 19:

The Technical Education Minister Punjab Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi has announced to facilitate the last year registered youth for Job Fairs by announcing that last year registered students need not to re-register this year, they are directly eligible for appearing in the interviews during the State Level Job Fairs. Disclosing about the decision the minister said that this decision has been taken to provide a chance to everyone to get a job. He said that the already registered students can appear in any nearest Job Fair or where they are interested to appear in the institute where companies are coming as per their education qualification. This decision was taken by the Technical Education Minister in a meeting with the chancellors of the private universities and senior officials of the department at his office here today.

In addition, another decision was also taken that the students who were unable to register due to any reason can register on the spot for Job fair at the venue and appear for the interview.

The Technical Education Minister Mr. Channi also announced venues for the state level Job fairs which are being held throughout the state. The Technical Education Minister would inaugurate the State Level Job Fairs from Chandigarh University, Gharuan on February 20. The minister said that these Job Fairs would be organized across the state by the government & private institutes which include Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Chittarka University, Rajpura, Rayat Bahra University, Kharar, Guru Kashi University Talwandi Sabo, Desh Bhagat University Mandi Gobindgarh, Polytechnic Technical College for Girls Patiala, Government Polytechnic College Amritsar, Guru Nanak Polytechnic College, Ludhiana, SBS Polytechnic College Ferozepur,

C.T. Polytechnic, Jalandhar, Government Institute of Leather and Footwear Technology, Jalandhar, Government Institute of Garment Technology, Amritsar, Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Tech., Ludhiana, Punjab Institute of Textile Technology, Amritsar, Government Industrial Training Institute Patiala, Government Industrial Training Institute Ludhiana, Government Industrial Training Institute Pathankot, Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology Faridkot, by Aryans, Adesh and Universal at PTU Campus, Mohali, Swami Vivekanad Group of Institutes, Banur and Government Industrial Training Institute Patti.

Prominent amongst others present in the meeting included Mr. Satnam Singh Chancellor Chandigarh University Gharuan, Mr. Ashok Mittal Chancellor LPU Phagwara, Mr. Gurvinder Singh Bahra Chancellor Rayat Bahra University Kharar, besides representatives of various private universities and technical education institutes, senior officials from the technical education department present in the meeting included Mr. Praveen Thind Director, Mr. Mohanbir Singh Additional Director, Mrs. Daljeet Kaur Additional Director, Damandeep Kaur Deputy Director and Deputy Director Narinder Pal Singh Lamba.
