WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Umang- Ek Nai soch organized a programme on “women empowerment” at Community Centre of DaduMazra Colony, Chandigarh on March 25, 2018. In the programme, sanitary pads were distributed to young girls/women and they were made aware about maintaining hygiene. Further, Ms. Ekta Bansal, CEO, Parijai Crafts taught young girls/women how to make eco-friendly products from the waste material available in the houses. Ms. Sonia, Trainer, Yoga PranaVidya (YPV) taught some techniques of Yoga PranaVidya (i.e. a no-touch therapy) which generates positive energies and relieve from stress/pains in the human body. Ms. Meenakshi Thakur, a Yoga Instructor, also explained the benefits of Yoga to the Girls/Women. Ms. Farmila, local Area Councilor, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh was the guest of honour. The young girls/women showed a keen interest in the activities and on their request, members of Umang- Ek Nai soch assured them classes of Best Out of Waste, Yoga Prana Vidya, and Personality Development on weekly basis free of cost.
