18,852 Applications Registered Under Himcare Scheme

Health and Family Welfare Minister Vipin Singh Parmar told here today that families which were not covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme are covered under Himcare Scheme in the State. He said that with a view to provide free health care services to the people of the state registrations under this scheme was again restarted since 1st January, 2020 and it will be done up to 31st March, 2020.

He said that under this scheme 18,852 applications have been registered in the month of January, this year which include 15,442 new applications and 3,410 renew applications. He said that in Bilaspur district 1265, 747 in Chamba, 1,851 in Hamirpur, 5,748 in Kangra, 205 in Kinnaur, 956 in Kullu, 14 in Lahaul and Spiti, 2,377 in Mandi, 1,773 in Shimla, 1520 in Sirmaur, 1,457 in Solan and 939 applications were registered in Una district in January, 2020.

He said that under this scheme all eligible families were provided free treatment in registered hospitals in the state. He said that registered families were provided free treatment both in government hospitals and registered private hospitals.
