GURUGRAM METROPOLITAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WILL CONSTRUCT 328 BUS Q SHELTER
Chandigarh, April 10:
Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will construct 328 Bus Q Shelters on 11 city bus routes in two groups at a cost of Rs10.50 lakh in Gurugram. This work will be completed in 10 months period.
This was stated by Administrator, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran, Gurugram, Mr Chander Shekhar Khare, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Mahanagar City Bus Limited
He said that 164 Bus Q Shelters each would be constructed in group-I and II. The construction work has been entrusted to Ozone Company. Apart from this, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram was also constructing 125 Bus Q Shelters out of which maximum have been completed. Advertisement rights would also be given on these sites so as to generate revenue, he added.
On route number 3, there would be 49 Bus Q Shelters from HUDA City Centre Metro Station to Shobhacity Dharampuri. While GMDA will construct 19 Bus Q Shelters on this route under group-I, 27 would be construted under group-II. Similarly, route number 4 starting from Ghata to Palam Vihar would have 63 Bus Q Shelters.
It may be mentioned here that GMDA is working to ensure facility of City Bus Service to the citizens of Gurugram. For this purpose, Gurugram Mahanagar City Bus Limited has been constituted. As many as 11 routes have been finalized for this purpose which includes Gurugram Bus Stand to Manesar, Harsaru to Dundahera, HUDA City Centre to Dharampuri (Shobha City), Ghata to Palam Vihar, Basai Chowk to HUDA City Centre, Railway Station to HUDA City Centre, Gurugram Bus Stand to Farruknagar, Gurugram Bus Stand to Palam Vihar, IFFCO chowk to Badshahpur, Gurugram Bus Stand to Ambiance Mall and Sector-56 to Dundaheri.
