Chandigarh, March 1:
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has greeted the people on the occasion of Holi, with a call for celebrating the traditional Indian festival with the colours of unity, tolerance, brotherhood and compassion.
In his Holi eve message, the Chief Minister exhorted the people to celebrate the festival of love in a spirit of harmony, coupled with collective prayers for prosperity. Let the festival touch our heats with the vibrant colours and warmth of the flowers that Spring, whose arrival is marked by Holi, spreads in our lives, said the Chief Minister.
The festival, which also showcases the victory of good over evil and epitomizes the values that Lord Krishna stood for, comes as a reminder of the highest moral values of humanity, said the Chief Minister, asserting that it was time for all the people to once again commit themselves to imbibing these age-old values in their psyche.
