CM announces to open modern ITI at Baroti in Dharampur area

Dedicates Developmental Projects Worth Rs 270 Crore in Dharampur Area

A modern Industrial Training Institute (ITI) would be opened at Baroti in Dharampur area of Mandi district from next session to provide job oriented education to the students of the area. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Baroti today.

He laid foundation stones and dedicated developmental projects worth Rs 270 crore in Dharampur area.

The Chief Minister while congratulating the women and girls on the occasion of ‘Balika Divas’ said that girls were excelling in almost every field which was a healthy sign for women empowerment and vibrant society. He said this shows the change of mindset of the society towards the girl child.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government was ensuring equitable development of every section of society and every area of state. He said that there was no dearth of funds for developmental works but at the same time the government was ensuring that every penny was used properly for welfare of the people of state. He said that Dharampur area would also be developed from tourism point of view.

He said that the people have given wholehearted support to the state government which was evident during the Lok Sabha elections, in which the State won all four seats by a record margin. He said the BJP maintained lead in all 68 Assembly constituencies of the state and all four Congress candidates trailed even in their polling booths. The vote share of BJP was also highest in the country. He said that BJP also won both the bye-elections of state Assembly.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the nation was safe and secure under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the nation has regained its old glory under his leadership. He said that even the leaders of most powerful nations of the world have acknowledged the strong leadership of Narendra Modi. He said that abrogation of Article 370 was possible due to the strong political will power and today India is ‘one nation with one constitution and one flag’. Similarly, the decision regarding triple Talaq was also a historic one that has ensured empowerment of Muslim women and has put a check on their exploitation.

The Chief Minister said that it was a matter of pride for people of the State that the biggest political party of the world, BJP was today being led by son of Himachal Pradesh Jagat Prakash Nadda. He said that this was possible due to special affection and benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards Himachal Pradesh. He said that it was due to the strong leadership at the Centre that the historic decision regarding the CAA was taken. He said that the Congress and other opposition leaders were trying to politicise the whole issue to mislead the people by spreading false canard.

The Act has nothing against the minority communities living in India as they were already citizen of this great nation. He said that Act was only for the migrants from Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh who have fled these countries due to atrocities. He said that the Act was no way against any minority community and the State fully supports this Act in larger interest of the country.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the opposition leaders were even questioning the Global Investors Meet organised by the state government. He reminded the Congress leaders that they also travelled throughout the country to attract investments, but failed miserably. He said that the present government has succeeded in signing MoUs worth about rupees one lakh crore. He said that on completion of two years tenure of the state government ground breaking ceremony for the projects worth Rs 13,400 crore was performed.

The Chief Minister announced Rs. 20 lakh for Barag-Gumma road and Rs. 15 lakh for Thana- Jhayarad road of the area.

He congratulated the Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur on his birthday and wished him good health so that he could serve the area and state for many years.

CM during birthday celebration of Hon'ble IPH Minister

The Chief Minister also felicitated the parents of newly born girl child under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme. He gave away prizes to best schools for 100 percent enrollment of girl students from 10th to 11th class under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme and also honoured girls in merit list of 12th class in School Education Board Examination under Shaskhat Mahila Yojna.  He gave away prizes to best Senior Secondary Schools for creating girl child friendly environment in schools.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Gantrailu bridge constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.57 crore  and Kanda Pattan-Pangoh-Hayolag road constructed with an outlay of Rs. 33.50 lakh. He also flagged off HRTC bus on this route.

He laid foundation stones of lift water supply scheme to Baroti Mandap Jodhan costing about Rs. 62 crore, Mukhyamantri Lok Bhawan Baroti, staff quarters of government degree college, Dharampur, science block of government senior secondary school, Baroti and play ground/stadium of government senior secondary school, Baroti.

Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated Sericulture Division at Sandhol and lift water supply scheme for Bahri-Mahri-Dhawali. He laid foundation stone of science block of government senior secondary school, Samoud.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said that the Dharampur Vidhan Sabha area has witnessed unprecedented development during the last over two years. He said that all developmental demands of the area were fulfilled by the Chief Minister and today the area was poised to emerge as the model Assembly constituency of the state. He said that mini secretariats have been constructed even up to the sub-division level which speaks of the development in the area.

Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) presented a big cake to Irrigation and Public Health Minister on his birthday.

MLAs Col. Inder Singh, Jawahar Thakur, Inder Singh Gandhi, Hira Lal and Prakash Rana, BJYM General Secretary Rajat Thakur, Director BoD State Cooperative Bank Priyavrat Sharma, Secretary IPH Dr R.N. Batta, Engineer-in-Chief IPH Naveen Puri, Deputy Commissioner Rugved Thakur, SP Gurdev Sharma were present on the occasion among others.
