CM expresses satisfaction over success of Jan Manch programme

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed satisfaction over the success of Jan Manch programme organised today in various parts of the state. He said that apart from quick redressal of public grievances, this programme was proving to be a good feedback mechanism to the government and would go a long way in formulating and modifying policies and programmes as per the aspirations of the people.

He said that Jan Manch had provided a good platform to the common masses to raise their grievances and other issues before the administration and government and it was also helping in speedy redressal of their problems at their door-steps. He added that this programme had proved to be multi-dimensional and yielding results more than expected.

The Second ‘Jan Manch’ programme was organised all over the State on Sunday. The Speaker, HP Vidhan Sabha and all the Cabinet Ministers presided over the programme in various parts of the State. The people in large number participated in it for redressal of their problems and other issues.

Around 4100 cases were received during these programmes out of which 2129 were disposed off on the spot and rest have been sent to the concerned departments for speedy redressal. Besides, Allopathic and Ayurvedic medical camps were also organised in which a large number of people turned out for check-up. Various types of certificates were issued besides registration of youth clubs and providing HP domicile certificate during this programme.

In Mandi district, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar launched the new campaign ‘Sambal’ of district administration started in coordination with the health department and district Red Cross Society during a function organised in Swamahun Panchayat in Karsog sub-division. This campaign, launched aims at providing free medical check-up and treatment facility to the senior citizens, aged above 60 of the far-flung areas.

The Minister said that health camps would be organised at the door-steps of the senior citizens by deputing specialist doctors and providing facility for various medical tests besides distributing medicines accordingly at their homes. The District Red Cross Society would bear the expenses in case any person is required to be sent to higher health institution for further treatment.

The Health Minister also inaugurated another camp at Karsog organised by the Ayurveda department on awareness about anal and rectum diseases. The doctors would voluntarily give free treatment facility for these diseases on public holidays by organising camps in various areas of the state.

In Mandi district total 220 cases were received and 150 cases were disposed off on the spot. In addition, 77 cases were also settled out of 83 received before the event.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda presided over the function at Becher Ka Bag in Sirmour District and directed the officers to decide the remaining cases of people’s grievances within fifteen days. He announced to open the seed distribution centre at Becher Ka Bag so that farmers could get high quality seeds and implements in time. He also announced to open Sabji Mandi at Sarahan and modernization of Rajgarh Sabji Mandi. He announced Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Kala Manch at Becher Ka Bag and Rs. 5 lakh to Birla panchayat for constructing play ground. He also directed to explore the possibilities to establish cold store at Becher Ka Bag.

In Sirmour district 1400 cases were received and 1063 were settled on the spot and remaining 387 have been referred to the departments concerned.

In Chamba district 341 cases were received today and 96 were disposed off on the spot. Besides, 238 complaints were received earlier out of which 78 were settled today. The function was organised at Garonta panchayat of Bhatiyat constituency which was presided over by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar.

The Minister said that the State Government was deeply concerned over the stray animals issue and steps were being taken to tackle this problem. He said a pilot project would be launched from Chamba district on 2 October, 2018 for artificial insemination.

While presiding over the programme at Dumehar in Solan district, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj directed the officers of Town and Country Planning department to be present in next Jan Manch as most of the cases received today were related to this department. The Minister honoured the new born girls and also provided FD under Beti Hai Anmol scheme to various beneficiaries. The Himachali domicile certificates were also issued to two girls on this occasion who are the national hockey players.

In Solan district 258 cases were received and 14 were settled on the spot.

MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma while presiding over the function in Jiya Panchayat in Palampur Assembly segment of Kangra district distributed kits to 36 new born girls and also distributed financial assistance to seven families who were affected by natural calamities. More than 1800 people from 13 panchayats participated in the programme. The minister directed to settle the remaining cases within ten days.

As many as 260 cases were received during the programme out of which 49 were settled on the spot. Besides 52 cases were received before the Jan Manch programme which had been already settled.

Speaker Vidhan Sabha Dr. Rajeev Bindal presided over the function at Haroli in Una district. Total 202 cases were received out of which 59 cases were settled on the spot and the Speaker directed to resolve remaining 143 cases within 10 days.

On the directions of the Speaker, the ration card of a family was also issued on the occasion.

In Shimla district, the programme was organised in Mahori panchayat of Theog sub division which was presided over by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kishan Kapoor. He distributed the financial assistance under Beti Hai Anmol scheme to 12 beneficiaries and 20 couples for adopting family planning after birth of one or two daughters.

In today’s Jan Manch programme, 31 cases were received and 19 were disposed off on the spot while 133 cases were received earlier to the event out of which 82 were settled today.

Industries Minister Bikram Thakur presided over the function at Chakmoh in Hamirpur district where people from 11 panchayats of Bijarh block participated in the Jan Manch programme. 42 cases and 65 demands were received out of which 28 cases were disposed off on the spot. Prior to the event 33 cases were received and eight out of them were settled today.

In Bilaspur district the function was organised at Barthin panchayat of Jhanduta Assembly constituency which was presided by IPH Minister Mahender Singh Thakur. During the programme 207 cases were received out of which 60 were disposed off on the spot. Before the Jan Manch 48 cases were received and 21 out of them were settled today.

In Kullu district, 70 cases out of 90 cases received today were disposed off besides 85 another cases out of total 88 received before the Jan Manch. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajeev Saijal presided over the function organised in Chawai panchayat of Ani constituency.

The Jan Manch programme was organised at Pooh in Kinnaur district which was presided over by Forest Minister Govind Thakur. During the programme, 71 cases were received today while 258 cases were received earlier out of which 108 were redressed on the spot.

In Lahaul Spiti, Deputy Speaker Hans Raj presided over the function organised at Udaipur in Lahaul-Spiti where 76 cases were received and 11 settled on the spot.
