Governor takes religious bath in Tattapani on the eve of Sakranti

Governor Bandaru Dattatraya visited Tattapani

A famous historical and religious place in Mandi district today and took a holy bath on the eve of Makar Sankranti.

The Governor said that this place should be further developed from tourism point of view. He said that Tattapani was a very beautiful place. He appreciated the efforts of district administration and tourism department for arrangements of all facilities for the devotees reaching this place and organizing several events on the occasion. He said that fairs and festivals were helpful in preserving our culture and the state government was also working in this direction, which was commendable.

Deputy Commissioner Rugved Singh Thakur apprised the Governor that special arrangements have been made in the fair on Makar Sankranti and for the first time, Satluj Aarti and Deep Dan have been arranged here.

He also visited Lakshmi Narayan and Nar Singh Dev temples and paid his obeisance.

On reaching Tattapani, MP Ram Swaroop Sharma, MLA Hira Lal, Superintendent of Police Gurdev Sharma and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
