Haryana Government would install CCTV cameras in all cities. Apart from this, the CFL bulbs would be replaced with LED lights in all Municipal Corporations, Municipal Committees and Municipalities. A sum of Rs 100 crore would be spent on it.
Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain gave this information after inaugurating the installation work of CCTV cameras at a market in Sonepat city, today. A sum of Rs 8.80 crore would be spent on this work.
She said that 195 high technique CCTV cameras would be installed at 52 spots in Sonepat city, of which 165 cameras would be fixed box type with a range of 25 to 40 meters. Apart from this, 27 PTZ cameras would be installed in the city having a range from 300 to 500 meters.
The Minister said that all CCTV cameras would be connected through underground wire with the proposed main control room at Police Office. The entire work would be got completed within six months. The installation of these CCTV cameras would not only provide security to shopkeepers and other people, but would also provide beneficial for safety of girls and women, she added.
