J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad would soon extend its consultancy services to the Industry for calibration of electrical instruments. The University today signed an MoU with Belz Instruments Private Limited to impart training to students and faculty members for instrument calibration.

The MoU was signed by Chairperson of Electrical Engineering Dr. Poonam Singhal, from J.C. Bose University and Managing Director of Belz Instruments Mr. A.K. Nehra, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar. Registrar Dr. S.K Garg. Director Industry Relations Dr. Rashmi Popli and faculty members of the Electrical Engineering Department were also present on this occasion.

Expressing pleasure over the industrial collaboration, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that the tie-up with Belz Instruments would help the University in its Capacity building process in terms of acquiring skill and Calibration training to fetch consultancy project in the related field. The University has an advantage of strategic location in the heart of Industrial Township and a great potential to fetch consultancy projects from Industries, therefore, the University is working in this direction to avail these opportunities by promoting such industrial tie-ups, he added.

Mr. A.K. Nehra said that the company has expertise in Calibration training and consultancy in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL), an accreditation body for Laboratories in India. Under the agreement, the company would conduct training program and technical courses to help students and faculty members to gain skill required for instrument calibration and enable them to work on industry projects or undertake consultancy activities, he added.
