    • HIGHER OFFICIALS AS WELL AS SUPERINTENDENTS OF ALL JAILS TO ATTEND

    CHANDIGARH, APRIL 30:

    The Jail Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has convened a meeting of the higher officials as well as the all jail superintendents on 1st May. This was disclosed here today by an official spokesman in a statement.

    The spokesman said that the minister has convened the meeting to have a first-hand knowledge of the ground realities aimed at carrying out the reforms in the jail department.

    The spokesman also said that the minister after assuming the charge had visited the Patiala Central Jail recently and would be apprised of the functioning of the entire department through the meeting which would be held at Markfed office in Chandigarh on 1st May at 11 AM. The meeting would see the attendance by the higher officers of the department including ADGP Jails, IG Jails, DIGs of ranges and all the jail superintendents.
