CM LAUNCHED MINING AND START-UP PORTALS OF INDUSTRIES DEPARTMENT

Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur launched two web based portals of Industries department- Mining Portal and Start-up Portal and Energy Accounting Software of Directorate of Energy, HP and also launched online portal for fire NoC of State Fires Services here today.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister said that the Mining Portal of the Geological Wing of Industries Department would remove the need for any physical touch point for applying for Mining Lease in the State. Through this portal an applicant would be able to apply online for various services of Geological wing like certificate of approval, mining lease, stone crusher, issue of transit pass, M-form generation etc, he added.

He said that all the requisite documents would be submitted online. Real time tracking/ monitoring of application would be done and the applicant would be informed through SMS/E-mail notifications at each level. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be able to download the final digitally signed approval certificate from the online portal, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the “Start-Up” of Industries department would promote the startup culture in the State. Any individual who has an idea for a Start-up, will be able to get all the information regarding registration of idea, required documentation, state initiatives for promotion of ideas, idea registration, details of the incubation centres, legal requirements for copyright of ideas and all relative information on this portal, he added.

All the financial help to the start-ups and to the incubators would be also be transferred through this portal. Under the start-up program of industries department, regular workshops will be conducted throughout the State and one State level Start-Up workshop is being organized on 10th of April 2018 at Shimla.

The Chief Minister said that all these tools would go a long way in bringing efficiency in providing different services to the people of the State. He said that the web-based software application developed for the Directorate of Energy by NIC, Shimla, would ensure quality improvement and cost saving in the commercial billing, payment/receipt, change of royalty rates in projects with time, forecast of energy and revenue etc. He said that the software would also help in transfer of money to treasury against respective heads.

He said that this would help in easy availability of data and easy generation of specified as well as unspecified reports and also perform comparative analytical computation. Errors in the data entry would also be eliminated very fast through validation checks performed by the system, he added.

While launching the online portal for Fire NoC of the State Fire Services, under Single Window Clearance System, the Chief Minister said that the portal would help various institutions such as educational institutions, industrial institutions, and establishments dealing with inflammable products etc in getting clearances and NoC online from the State Fire Services Department. He said that after all the formalities were completed and fulfilled the Chief Fire Officer or Director State Fire Services would issue online NoC to the concerned. The applicant would get a message regarding NoC on his mobile and he can take out the print and he would not require to visit the office of Fire Services, he added.

Industries Minister Shri Bikram Singh informed that this portal will put a check on the illegal mining in the State and the royality that the State gets from mining will also increase with the proper monitoring of the real quantity of minerals being monitored through this system. The Department is currently developing the mobile apps, and it will be made available to the public by next month.

Dhiman, Director Industries Shri Rajesh Sharma, Director Energy Dr Ajay Sharma, ADG(P) cum Director Forest Services Shri S.B Negi, DCG Home Guards Shri Anuj Tomer were present on the occasion among others.
