Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P Dhankar today assured the sunflower growers

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P Dhankar today assured the sunflower growers of the state that uninterrupted purchase of sunflower crop would be made which will be over and above the purchase limit of 40 percent as fixed by Government of India.
Mr. Dhankar was interacting with the sunflower growers of district Kurukshetra who called on him here today. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishah Kumar Bedi was also present on this occasion.
Mr. Dhankar directed the Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi to write a letter to the Union Ministry for increasing the purchase period of sunflower and also to enhance the prescribed quote of 40 percent.
Mr. Bedi thanked the Agriculture Minister for this initiative.
Among those present on this occasion included Sarpanch of village Nalvi Mr. Baldev Singh Kamboj, Sarpanch Ram Nagar Mr. Bal Singh and a large number of farmers.
