Chandigarh has its fitness scores decreased to 6.60 in 2019 as compared to 7.35 in 2017
Chandigarh : Tracing the journey of fitness over the past two years Reebok, Reebok conducted the second edition of country’s first ever fitness survey – Fit India Survey – that reveals the A to Z and F to N of Fitness! Tapping the growing community of FitGen, Reebok has mapped the fitness habits of the over 2200 consumers across nine cities in India – Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune and Ahmedabad, in the age group of 18– 35 years. Out of which Chandigarh ranks fourth fittest city in the country, after Kolkata (9.00), Delhi (7.99) and Mumbai (7.64).
UPPING THE FIT QUOTIENT
Chandigarh has taken a hit on the fitness quotient from second position to fourth with a Fitscore of 6.60 in 2019 as compared to 7.35 in 2017. Taking into consideration the number of activities, number of weekly hours of workout and nutritional awareness of the meals the respondents’ intake are the factors weighted against specific multipliers to evaluate the fit score – which determines the fitness quotient of geography.

61% of the Chandigarh based respondents consider it extremely important to share fitness content over social media.
FASHIONABLY FIT AND TRENDY
The city is also becoming an advanced market for fitness products as respondents from Chandigarh have the highest propensity to spend on fitness gear with nearly 78% of them wearing Activewear to the office.
