The brave tales of valour of the Indian Defense Forces filled the air with cheer as the 39th Regular Commission Officers of the Indian Army celebrated their 55th -Year of Commissioning into India’s mighty Defense Forces in a big way here at Forest Hill Golf & Country Club Resort, Chandigarh.
This two-day gala event, which was held on the 11th and 12th of June, was organized by Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu, a retired Indian Army Officer, and Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of WWICS Group of Companies and co-hosted by Mr. Deepak Kochhar, CEO, WWICS Group. More than 50 senior-level officers including Lieutenant Generals, Major Generals, Brigadiers, and Colonels along with their wives graced the occasion.
The Day 1 of the event featured a special cocktail and dinner party. All the Officers and guests attended the event and relived those glorious tales of bravery.
The final day of the event commenced with an early-morning round of Golf enjoyed by the Officers at Forest Hill Resort’s world-class and challenging Golf Course amidst serene surroundings followed by other exciting activities.
Mr. Deepak Kochhar, CEO, the WWICS Group of Companies thanked the attendees for taking the opportunity to attend this event and acquainted them with WWICS Group’s achievements throughout the years through a presentation.
The event concluded with an address by Lt. Col. (Retd.) B.S. Sandhu, CMD, WWICS Group followed by a sumptuous lunch.
While addressing the gathering, Lt. Col. (Retd.) B.S. Sandhu extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to Officers and said, “I extend my greetings to all the 39th Regular Commission Officers and their family members on the 55th -year celebrations of our day of commission. We all defended and served our motherland with all our might and to the best of our abilities, for a better and brighter future for the nation”.
He further thanked all the officers for gracing this event and said, “These celebrations and get-togethers are great opportunities for all of us to “relive” those glorious times and develop good friendships and connections with our fellow Officers”.
At the end of the event, all the attendees were felicitated with a T-shirt and scarf as a token of gratitude and respect.
