PUNJAB GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES PROGRAM FOR SECOND STATE LEVEL JOB FAIR

Chandigarh, February 9:

After the success of the first state level Mega Job Fair the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has decided to organise the second state level Job fair. The Technical Education Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi announced the program of the second state level Mega Job fair presiding over a meeting with the senior officials of the department and the representatives of the private universities.

Disclosing about the second Mega Job fair which is being organized across the state,        Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that the Punjab Government has increased ambit of the Job Fair, besides the technical education department, the department of higher education, medical education, employment generation and skill development mission is also participating in the event this year.

Mr. Channi said that this year’s Job fair would be organized at different places throughout the state from February 20 to March 10. The Technical Education Minister said that these Job fairs would be organized by the government industrial training institutes, government polytechnic colleges and private universities.

Mr. Channi directed the officials of the department to set up a Help Desks at the government ITIs and Polytechnic Colleges to provide help for applying online for the Job fair. Aspirant candidates would be provided free at these institutions to apply for Job fair.

On this occasion, the technical education minister said that the interested youth can apply online on the website of the youth department and if there is any problem then call at helpline numbers Toll Free-1800-419-0730, any information related to Job Fair at 01822-662537 and for any technical assistance contact at 9878858420.

Amongst others present in the meeting included Bhawna Garg Secretary Technical Education, Parveen Thind Director, Daljeet Kaur Additional Director, Damandeep Kaur Deputy Director besides heads of the government ITIs and Polytechnic Colleges and representatives of Private Universities were also present.
