Sikhs To Get Minority Status in J&K

Amritsar, October 14, 2019: Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir will have minority status now when the state has come under the Indian Constitution after the abrogation of Article 370. This was stated by Farooq Khan, Advisor to state Governor Satyapal Malik.

He was here to pay obeisance at Golden Temple. SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal met Khan and handed over a memorandum to him seeking minority status for Sikhs and land for setting up Sikh mission in the state. Khan also said that demand for the Sikh mission will be examined by the state government.
