DELEGATION OF SSB SANDIKSHA CALLS ON GOVERNOR

A 15-member delegation of ‘SANDIKSHA’ Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Wives Welfare Association called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhavan here today.

The Governor appreciated the various activities being carried out through the Association and urged the SSB Medical Training Center to work with the State Red Cross for the service of the suffering humanity so that Red Cross activities could be further expanded. He said the Association was engaged in social welfare and it should also involve itself with organizations like Red Cross to make it more effective.

Smt. Amita Negi, National Secretary of the Association, who led the delegation briefed about the various activities being carried out at the national level. She apprised the Governor that the main objective of SANDIKSHA was to generate a sense of accomplishment in the minds of SSB wives and develop managerial skills in them.

Dr. Kiran Sharma, President, SSB Medical Training Center, Shimla briefed about the activities being undertaken at the state level.

Regional organizer of SSB, Shri Shekhar Chaudhary apprised the Governor of the overall activities of the force.
