Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur chaired the review meeting of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), here today. He reviewed the performance of HRTC on account of its scheduling of various routes, earning per kilometer (EPKM), kilometer per liter (KMPL), and maintenance of buses.
Minister directed the officers to ensure all-round progress by giving special emphasis on passenger satisfaction. He directed the management to inspect the bus stands, workshops and HRTC approved dhabas on regular basis. He asked officers to take strict action against dhabas violating the norms fixed by HRTC.
Govind Singh Thakur further directed to follow the recruitment process of officers, drivers, conductors and other supporting staff. It was apprised in the meeting that in the coming months around 1400 vacancies would be filled in HRTC. The Minister also directed to ensure timely promotion of HRTC staff.
Managing Director HRTC Yunus, Executive Director HRTC Anupam Kashyap, FA &CAO Ashok Chauhan, General Manager Naveen Kaplas, Divisional and Regional Managers of HRTC were also present in the meeting.
