Dior’s Pre-Fall 2023 made an appearance at the iconic Gateway of India. This was in Mumbai on the 30th of March 2023. Additionally, the Indian fashion provides an inspiration to the designs. Moreover, the runway was full of the colors-rani pink silks, yellows and purples. Hence, the entire show was truly a treat to the eyes.
ABOUT THE RUNWAY SHOW
At Dior’s show, Indian artistry and craftsmanship took a central place in Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Collection. Furthermore, the reference of Indian traditional silhouettes was seen in the silk dresses and sari-inspired skirts.Thus, it showcased the incredible knowledge India offers to International field of fashion.
The show brought spotlight on India’s luxury fashion market. Additionally, International and Indian stars such as Karlie Kloss and Sonam Kapoor were in attendance. Sonam Kapoor was wearing a pastel pink ensemble from Dior and was wearing traditional jewelry. Ananya Pandey was wearing a hot pink co-ord set. Furthermore, many celebrities were embracing their looks with Dior handbags.
DIOR IN INDIA PAYS A TRIBUTE TO INDIAN CRAFTS
Indeed, Indian fashion and culture was at the forefront of the show. Moreover, it decorated the runway with marigolds and exotic lamps. Furthermore, the outfits were inspired from the traditional Indian silhouettes as a tribute to the Indian artisans. Be it Madras Check or detailed Banarasi brocade fabrics, the outfits showcased the Indian bliss.
Both the Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities such as Tom Holland and Rekhaji made an appearance in the Indian fashion designs and standout fabrics.
