Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister has appealed to the farmers to apply for availing subsidy on agriculture

Chandigarh, Feb 28:

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar has appealed to the farmers to apply for availing subsidy on agriculture equipment for crop stubble management under Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanisation (SMAM) for the year 2018-19, from March 1 to 7, 2019.

The Agriculture Minister said that this year, the farmers of Haryana have worked well as compared to other states for crop stubble management. Now, instead of burning crop stubble in their farms, the farmers have making utilizing it for generating other forms of energy and using it in fields as manure. This work was appreciated by the President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind during Agri Leadership Summit organised recently at Ganaur. For this, the farmers of Haryana deserve high appreciation, he added.

He said that the Department has been providing up to 80 percent subsidy on agriculture equipment such as DSR multi-crop planter, reaper binder, paddy transplanter, straw baler, hay rake, and tractor.

Mr. Dhankar said that for more information, the farmers may contact the Agriculture Officers concerned of their district. They can apply online on the website of the Department www.agriharyana.org.
