RERA ISSUES DIRECTIONS REGARDING MENTIONING OF REGISTRATION NUMBER IN THE REAL ESTATE ADVERTISEMENTS

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Punjab has issued directions regarding the mentioning of registration number issued by the authority in the advertisements of real estate projects.
In a press communique issued here today, an official spokesman of Punjab Government said that in the supersession of circular no. RERA/ENF/01 dated 21.12.2017 RERA has directed that keeping in view the provisions contained in section 11(2) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 any advertisement of real estate projects in the print media, on outdoor hoardings or any other visual medium, should mention the registration number issued by this authority in the top right corner of the advertisement. The size of the lettering and numbering used for registration number should be not less than half of the size used for the name of the project in the said advertisement, he added.
He further informed that the advertisement or prospectus issued or published by the promoter should also mention the website address www.rera.punjab.gov.in of the authority just below the registration number.
As per directions, in the advertisements on FM Radio or through electronic media and SMS, the registration number issued by the authority as well as the website address of the RERA should be prominently mentioned.
